Learn your legal and professional duties. Cover equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding. Understand your role as an educator.

Plan lessons. Learn inclusive teaching strategies. Select the right resources. Create a supportive learning environment. You'll also prepare your micro-teach in this unit.

Unit 1

Study planning and inclusive delivery. Prepare your 15-minute micro-teach.
Micro-teach
Deliver your 15-minute session live online. Observe fellow learners. Give and receive feedback.
Unit 3
Work through the assessment unit. Complete your written assignment.
Marking and quality assurance
Your assignments and micro-teach are assessed. The outcome is confirmed through our internal quality assurance (IQA) process.
Get certified
Your Level 3 Award (12 credits) is confirmed. Your e-certificate is issued, with a hard copy available.

A key part of the AET is the micro-teach. It's a 15-minute teaching session that you plan and deliver live online. You'll teach your chosen topic. You'll observe other learners. You'll give and receive feedback. It's your chance to put theory into practice and build real confidence before you step into a teaching role. Video examples are provided to help you prepare.

What You Need to Start

- Minimum age: 19.
- No previous teaching experience or qualifications required.
- A good standard of written and spoken English.
- Access to a device with a camera and microphone and a reliable internet connection (needed to deliver your live micro-teach).

Your Certificate Is Waiting
